SOMETIMES IT IS HARD, BUT I KNOW I CAN DO IT.

THE LAST REFLECTION.

For these last reflection, I realize that   in order for me to understand better about these subject which is curriculum and pedagogy. I need to read it over and over again.

By the end of our lesson, my lecture help me alot to and always give the best that she can to teach us in class.

Sometimes I found these subject it hard but  It is fine because I will work hard  to get the best  exam score for these subject. I am not to set my mind talking about It is hard. But I try to tell is nothing worth having comes easy.

REFLECTION 9: CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION


This week we learn about curriculum implementation.

Curriculum implementation.
Curriculum implementation is entails putting into practice the officially prescribed course of study, syllabuses and subjects. The process involves helping the learner acquire knowledge or experience. It cannot take place without the learner. Learner is the central figure of the implemantation process. It is also take place as the learner acquire the planned or intended experience, knowledge, skills, ideas and attitude that are aimed at enabling the same learner to function effectively in a society.

Planning.

As we already know. Every programme we need to planned it first. So, start with observation in children imterest, needs, strength and behaviours. It is, to make it more suitable, interesting and to give the best learning experience for children. The planning can help adult to understand how and what children learn. Also help children more in improving their learning skills.

REFLECTION 8: CURRICULUM EVALUATION.

WHAT IS EVALUATION?



Evaluation is, the process or group of processes that people perform in order to gather data and that will enable them to decide whether to accept, change, or eliminate something.
Concerned with relative values and statements of worth.
Other than that, it is determining whether the expected or the planned has occurred or is occuring in relation to the intended.
 What I understand about these, evaluation is something that I setup for children like the activity in class I guess whether it is a good or not. Other than that it is also similar on what I do when I provide the lesson plan. Such as the objective of my lesson had been achieve or not. My lesson that I provide are effective or not for children or I have already achieve the goals or not.
From what I know also, evaluation can be informal or formal assessment.
Other than than when we do the evaluation it should be based on 5 question which is: Intrinsic value, Instrumental value,comparative value and Idealization value and decision value.

REFLECTION 7: CURRICULUM DESIGN

These week, in class we learned about curriculum design and these topic it is related to our assignment. So while doing about our assignment, we can refer this topic as a guidelines for us to created our own curriculum design. 


WHAT IS CURRICULUM DESIGN?


Curriculum design is the arrangment of curriculum elements into a substantive entity. The basic components in curriculum design is, must have aims, goals, objective, subject matter, learning expriences and evaluation.


Different between curriculum design and instructional design.

Curriculum design are the total plan that arranges the four components into curriculum. For instance the objective, content, learning experience and evaluation.
For instructional design, it is refers specifically to one compenent, the potential experiences for the student, learning activities.

Malaysian curriculum design.

Promotes unity through the use of a single medium of instruction and the provision of the same core subject for all pupils in all schools within the National Education System.

REFLECTION 5: Pshychological Foundations of Curriculum


These week, we learned about psychological foundation. But I realize I'm not focusing while in class because of certain problem that I faced these week. I know these is not an excuse, So not to worry I will read it by myself and back on track again. Cheer up!!





WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUNDATION OF CURRICULUM.

  What I understand, it is more on the concerned with the question of how people learn.  Is also provides a basis for understanding the teaching and learning process. The process are both essential of curricularists, because it is only when students learn and understand curriculum, gain some knowledge and they know how to use it that the curriculum has actual worth.



THE  PSYCOLOGY RELATED TO CURRICULUM.

The psycology related to curriculum in term of how the teacher understand the individual learning skills. Other than that, they are three major theories of learning , the first one is behaviorist, second are cognitive-information processing theories and the last one are phenomenological and humanistic.

REFLECTION 4: PHILOSOPHICAL FOUNDATIONS OF CURRICULUM







WHAT IS PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION?
From what I read on my notes philosophy are more on what people think and translate it into a words or sentences that can help other people in education. 
The word philosophy is combination of the Greek word
Philos-love
Sophia- wisdom
"Love of wisdom"
Philosophers are people who seek after wisdom and curios about the world always seeking to understand the nature of things. They also, study the others philosopher, from what they study they will come out with a new philosophies and proposing it.




HOW IS IT RELATED TO THE CURRICULUM OF A SCHOOL SYSTEM?
I think that, philisophy related to curriculum in term of how the specialists suggest the subject, the learners studies of contemporary life, use of psychology of learning and the use of philosophy in schools.

REFLECTION 3: The Roles of Curriculum workers



Curriculum workers?
What understand about Curriculum workers is, people who work on curriculum, such as teacher, lecture and so on.
They also have the responsibility to concentrate on student behaviors in devising objectives for a unit to emphasize appropriate learning experiences.

Based on what I understand curriculum had a small part in which is:

CURRICULUM PRACTITIONERS
- Use curricula within the instructional area and super- vise its use in school.

CLASSROOM TEACHERS
-Plan instruction (social studies textbooks).
-Implement a reading program.

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS
-Make curriculum adjustments
-Implement team teaching
-Encourage teachers to utilize particular instractional methology.

CURRICULUM DISSEMINATORS
-Make known to curriculum practitioners the existence of curricula and the proper methods of using them.

CURRICULUM EVALUATOR AND ROLES
Historically as rich as education. The concept is comprehensive that contains several evaluation activities with common function investigating certain curriculum
-Collect, examine, assess data (purpose of reporting).


CURRICULUM ADVOCATES
Educators and members of the general public.
It is might be parents attempting to influence the curriculum decision of his child's school.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPERS
Intentionally create curriculum materials and strategies for others to use in the instructional area.
- Textbook writers, teachers, curriculum specialists or concerned citizen.

TEACHERS AS DEVELOPERS
Has three competencies:
1. Professional knowledge.
- content knowledge (what you teach).
- general pedagogical knowledge ( how you teach).
- pedagogical content knowledge (why you teach this way).
2. Commitment to change.
3. Team work.

ROLE OF CURRICULUM WORKERS
1. Coordination of curriculum planing and development
2. Definition and application of curriculum theory
3. Design and application of curriculum research
4. Provision of aid in filling in-service needs of staff.

In order for me to understand better about these topic. I need to read it over and over again.
